J.B. Scott has been in love with music his entire life. As a kiddo, he used to sing Elvis' songs into a mop, pretending he was on stage performing to thousands. Now, he carries that same childhood enthusiasm into each song he writes, produces, and performs.
The Why
Ten years ago, J.B. ran out of music to listen to.
Struggling to find new artists he could connect with in the world of social media, it seemed he was listening to the same music on repeat. Deciding to turn his unprecedented problem into a new solution, he took his own passion for finding new songs and began learning everything he could about writing, producing, and performing music. That journey took him to Nashville, where he learned how to craft songs under some of the same writers that inspired him as a child. After finishing his studies at Belmont University, he moved back to his hometown of San Antonio, TX where he is currently building up his own catalogue of songs with the same passion he connects with from his favorite artists.
The Songs
J.B.'s songs are a mix of the same music that continues to inspire him. Some songs like "Hardly Workin'" and "Anywhere" allow him to translate the Beatles' and Dylan's classic style of writing into a more modern setting, while others like "Toxic" and "Dry" express the same raw energy he felt from those early Elvis recordings. While there are no OFFICIAL releases coming up in 2025, there will be several unofficial releases throughout the year.
